Sarah Spalding Jewellery - bespoke jeweller
Sarah lives in Dundee, Scotland and graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2009 studying Jewellery and Metalwork Design. Sarah now owns The Tayberry Gallery in Perth, and continues to make jewellery from her workshop at the back of the gallery. Sarah's contemporary jewellery designs are influenced by pattern and structure found in and around cities. Her research and sketchbook work has led to an interest in repeating parts to build a finished piece using precious metals and traditional jewellery techniques. Creating sharp lines, geometric shapes and often oxidising the silver to turn it black achieves an industrial appearance to link in with her research. Sarah's pieces reflect architectural aesthetics that have been developed to create sculptural yet wearable jewellery.
